The easiest way to install BRQ in Windows XP and Vista is to copy the contents of the RUN folder to an empty folder on your hard drive.
In order to use Beginning Russian Quizzes in Windows XP and Vista, you have to be logged in as Administrator or Power User. This is related to strengthened security in the newer versions of Windows.

Version 1.1 for Windows works with Windows XP and Vista. Follow the printed installation instructions for Windows XP, including the installation of the older version of QuickTime. The older version of QuickTime can co-exist with the current version and is required for running the program. The only negative consequence of installing the older version of QuickTime after the newer version is that double-clicking mov files in Windows Explorer will attempt to open the file in the older QuickTime Player. To resolve this you can use the options in Windows Explorer to associate the newer QuickTime Player with the mov filename extension. Alternatively, you can install the current version of QuickTime again. It will not interfere with the older version that is required for 12 Chairs Interactive.
If Russian texts are not displayed correctly in the Windows XP or Vista, make sure you're logged in as Administrator or Power User.
